At the start of 2012, our website contained over 6,000 essays and menus.
During 2012, to date, we ran across the following errors, which we have fixed:
Our essay comparing the flood stories in the Bible and in the ancient Babylonian Epic of Gilgamesh contained some errors. Our text blamed the Babylonian god Ea for the mass genocide. In reality, it was the god Enlil who wanted to exterminate humans; he convinced the other gods to do this. However, the god Ea went against that decision and warned one human to build an ark and save at least some of humanity and other animals.
Our essay that compares the teachings of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the Mormon church, with those of evangelical denominations originally included a very embarrasing error. It stated that: "The Mormon faith is polygamous". It should have stated "The Mormon faith is polytheistic". The church leadership originally taught polygamy, but believe that they received a revelation from God to discontinue the practice late in the 19th century.
