"Dr. Phil" and his program:

Dr. Phil Calvin McGraw (1950 -) is a TV personality who is highly respected by the public. He has a masters degree in experimental psychology and a Ph.D in clinical psychology. During the late 1990s, he appeared initially as an occasional guest -- and later every week -- as a relationship and life strategy expert on The Oprah Winfrey Show. His own TV show, "Dr. Phil," started in 2002.  It is broadcast on weekdays. _1,2

Depending upon your specific beliefs about sexual orientation and LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and transsexual) issues, you will probably consider the "Dr. Phil" TV program to be a potent force for good or evil.

Dr. Phil McGraw occasionally dedicates an episode to exploring these topics, generally from the standpoint resolving conflicts within families and relationships .

About our terminology:

LGBT is the preferred acronym for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender/Transsexual persons. There are 8.4 million occurrences of "LGBT" on the Internet, compared with 3.6 million of "GLBT."

This section of our website deals with lesbian, gay and bisexual persons only, and so LGB would be the logical acronym to use. However LGB already refers to "Lehmann Gross Bahn" the line of large scale model trains for outside use, as are currently made and sold by M?klin.

So we selected GLB as the preferred acronym.
