Why we can't answer Emails:Sorry for the really awful color combination. But we wanted to make certain that you read this. We are a tiny group with only about 3,000 staff hours a year to handle our web site administration, fund raising, expansion, corrections, etc. But with about twenty-five million visitors a year, with over 4,300 essays online, and with so many religious events happening in the world, we simply cannot carve out the time to answer the flood of Emails, letters and faxes that we receive. Even if we stopped upgrading and expanding our web site, we would not have sufficient staff hours available to properly answer all of the requests. To make matters worse, our facilities underwent reconstruction during late April and early May, resulting in a major dislocation. We now have a massive backlog of Emails to be responded to and other work. We do read every Email. But we can personally answer only a very few. We strongly encourage you to Email us if you run across any errors, whether related to spelling, punctuation, grammar, accuracy, clarity, balance, etc. This decision to not answer Emails really saddens us. But we see no other way to survive with our limited resources. We recommend that you request a "read receipt" when you send us an Email. That will at least confirm that we have read it. |

If you do send us an Email to ocrt4@religioustolerance.org, we promise that we will NOT send you appeals for funds or any other unsolicited Email. We will not pass your Email address on to anyone else. But we will read it
We have hired a part-time staff member -- our first -- to handle much of the administrative load. We are asking visitors to our web site who believe in the message that we are disseminating to help us pay for this new expense by joining our "300 club" and donate a small amount of money each month via credit card or PayPal. This staff member has freed up time. But the work load involved in keeping our 4,280 essays and menus current -- and writing new ones -- is overwhelming.
