Overview:
The Hebrew and Christian Scriptures (a.k.a. Old and New Testaments) are
ambiguous on the matter of the morality of abortion.
 | Conservative denominations and traditions tend to interpret Scripture
passages as forbidding abortion. |
 | Liberal faith groups tend to see the Scriptures as either saying nothing
about abortion, or allowing it. |
 | Mainline groups tend to be in conflict over the topic. |
 | Secular groups tend to derive their beliefs about abortion from sources
other than religious texts. |
