2003-JAN: ABC News - Washington Post poll:
A Reuters News report for 2003-JAN-23 summarized what it called a "new"
ABC News - Washington Post poll of American adults which showed:
 | A majority -- 57% -- favor abortion rights in all or most cases; this
compares to 59% in 2001. |
 | 69% oppose abortion procedures in which the fetus is partially
delivered before being aborted; i.e. D&X procedures. |
The poll's error margin was 3 percentage points. 1

2003-OCT: Washington Post / ABC News poll:
A poll of 1,000 randomly selected individuals asked the question: "Do you
find abortion when the life of the mother is NOT in danger acceptable or
unacceptable?" The results were:
 | 58% unacceptable |
 | 39% acceptable |
 | 3% don't know. |
The margin of error was about 3.2%. 2

2003-NOV: Gallup Organization poll:
This poll was taken of youth aged 13 to 17. The question asked was "Should
abortion be illegal in all circumstances, in certain circumstances or should it
be legal in all circumstances?" The results were:
 | 47% illegal in certain circumstances |
 | 32% illegal in all circumstances |
 | 19% legal in all circumstances. 2 |
