Mystery: The Hidden Truth of the Gospel.
1. In the name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate. (Holy Koran: basmalah)
2. Who has ascended up into heaven, or descended? Who has gathered the wind in
his fists? Who has bound the waters in a garment? What is his name, and what is
his son's name, if you can tell? (Proverbs 30:4)
3. You have exalted above all things your name and your word. (Psalm 138:2)
4. "OM" in all the Vedas, the word that is God. (Bhagavad-Gita 7:8)
5. The Lord, whose name is the God of multitudes. (Amos 5:27)
6. Keep your father's commandment, and forsake not the law of your mother: for
the commandment is a lamp and the law is light. (Proverbs 6:20 & 23)
7. He that loves his brother abides in the light, and there is no occasion of
stumbling in him. (1st John 2:10)
8. This commandment which I command you this day, it is not hidden from you,
neither is it far off. The word is very near you, in your mouth, and in your
heart, that you may do it. (Deuteronomy 30:11 & 14)
9. Owe no man anything, but to love one another, for he that loves another has
fulfilled the law. For all the commandments of God are summed up in this one:
you shall love your neighbor as yourself. Love does no wrong to its neighbor:
therefore love is the fulfilling of the law. (Romans 13:8-10)
10. I write you no new commandment, but an old commandment which you had from
the beginning. The old commandment is the word which you have heard from the
beginning. (1st John 2:7)
11. If we love one another, God dwells in us, and his love is perfected in us.
Because he has given us of his Spirit, we know that we dwell in him and he in
us. God is love, and he that dwells in love dwells in God, and God in him. (1st
John 4:12, 13, & 16)
12. I will give to Jerusalem one that brings good tidings. His name is called
the Word of God. (Isaiah 41:27 and Revelation 19:13)
13. I have finished the work you gave me to do. I have revealed your name to the
men which you gave me out of the world (While I was with them in the world, I
kept them in your name: the name that you have given me). O righteous Father,
the world has not known you, but I have known you, and these have known that you
have sent me. And I have declared to them your name, and will declare it, so
that the love with which you have loved me may be in them, and I in them. (John
17:4, 6, 12, 25 & 26)
14. Jesus said, be of good cheer: I have overcome the world. (John 16:33)
15. Upon those who overcome the world--as he has overcome the world--he shall
write his new name. The new name is the old name, and the old name is the
commandment and the word that you have heard from the beginning. (written,
drawing upon Revelation 3:12, John 16:33, and 1st John 2:7)
16. Isaiah is very bold, saying: I was found by them that sought me not; I was
made manifest to them that asked not after me. (Romans 10:20)
17. [Pray for me,] that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery,
the hidden truth of the Gospel. (Ephesians 6:19)
G-d is not the Name of G-d;
Jesus is not the Name of Jesus;
Allah is not the Name of Allah;
OM is not the Word that is God;
Love is.
Amen
