Christian responses to environmental concerns

Responses by fundamentalist
and other evangelical groups

Overview:
A split appears to be forming between Christian fundamentalism -- both
individuals and their para-church organizations -- and some more moderate evangelicals over
the environment and the threat of global warming. Although there is massive
distrust by religious conservatives over the findings of science in topics
ranging from evolution of the species to the nature
of sexual orientation, some evangelicals are
accepting that the earth's environment is under severe stress. They probably
only represent a small minority of evangelicals at this time. However, we have a
hunch that their numbers are increasing.
