There is little conflict within Roman Catholic parochial schools; most have accepted evolution and have taught it for decades.

There is little conflict within conservative Protestant religious schools and home schooling programs; they have accepted creation science and/or intelligent design and rejected evolution.

It is in the U.S. public schools that the battle between evolution and creation science rages.
