We hope you enjoy this web site and what it represents.
If so, fantastic!

The thing is ... we're an independent group of normal people who donate our time to bring you the content on this website. We hope that it makes a difference.

Over the past year, expenses related to the site upkeep (from research to delivery) has increased ... while available funds to keep things afloat have decreased. We would love to continue bringing you the content, but we desperately need your help through monetary donations. Anything would help, from a one-off to small monthly donations.

$3? $5? $15? The option is yours. Regardless, your help would be appreciated.

Genocide, Mainly of Christians, in Nigeria's Plateau State:

Stoyan Zaimov, writing for the Christian Post, reports that 6,000 people have been murdered by Fulani radicals in Nigeria between 2018-JAN and JUL.

During early 2018-JUL, Rev. Dr. Soja Bewarang of the Christian Association of Nigeria and church denominational heads in Plateau State, Nigeria issued a press release saying:

"What is happening in Plateau state and other select states in Nigeria is pure genocide and must be stopped immediately ... Over 6,000 persons, mostly children, women and the aged have been maimed and killed in night raids by armed Fulani herdsmen. ..."

"We reject the narrative that the attacks on Christian communities across the country [are a] ... 'farmers/herdsmen clash.' The federal government has been so immersed in this false propaganda and deceit while forcefully pushing the policy idea of establishing cattle ranches/colonies on the ancestral farming lands of the attacked communities for the Fulani herdsmen as the only solution to the problem."

"How can it be a clash when one group is persistently attacking, killing, maiming, destroying; and the other group is persistently being killed, maimed and their places of worship destroyed? How can it be a clash when the herdsmen are hunting farmers in their own villages/communities and farmers are running for their lives?"

"How can it be a clash when the herdsmen are the predators and the inhabitant/indigenous farmers are the prey? Until we call a disease by its real name and causatives, it would be difficult to properly diagnose the disease for the right curative medications. 1,2

Nigerian Christians have pleaded with the government of Nigeria, the international community, and the United Nations for help:

"... to stop this senseless and blood shedding in the land and avoid a state of complete anarchy where the people are forced to defend themselves. ... We are particularly worried at the widespread insecurity in the country where wanton attacks and killings by armed Fulani herdsmen, bandits and terrorists have been taking place on a daily basis in our communities unchallenged despite huge investments in the security agencies."1,2

Two hundred people, mostly Christians, were mass-murdered in the city of Jos (a.k.a. J-Town) in central Nigeria during late 2018-JUN.

The genocide is being viewed as:

  • A conflict between Muslims and Christians by many Christians and their organizations, such as Open Doors USA, Christian Solidarity Worldwide, and International Christian Concern.

  • A conflict between herdsmen and farmers by other groups.

The International Society for Civil Liberties and the Rule of Law, Intersociety, stated on Tuesday that a combined total of 1,750 Christians, along with non-Muslims, have been killed during the first six months of 2018 both by the Fulani herdsmen, and by Boko Haram radicals, who are a separate terror group.

Intersociety also warned of a genocide in its statement.

"Nigeria is drifting to [a path of] genocide through killing, maiming, burning and destruction of churches and other sacred places of worship, and forceful seizure and occupation of ancestral, worship, farming and dwelling lands of the indigenous Christians and other indigenous religionists in Northern Nigeria." 3

Roman Catholic Bishop William Avenya of Gboko, in Benue State of North-central Nigeria, warned of a similarity between the situation in Northern Nigeria and the inter-tribal genocide in Rwanda during 1994 when almost one million people died. He said that that the national and international groups cannot wait for a full genocide to be established before they start to intervene. He said:

"Please don't make the same mistake as was made with the genocide in Rwanda. [That] ... happened beneath our noses, but no one stopped it. And we know well how that ended."

Father Vitus Ikeme, a Nigerian-born Catholic priest who now lives in Canada, said that Islamic terrorists in Nigeria are slaughtering thousands of Christians in Nigeria in a bid to force Sharia law on the country. He said:

"They are supplied with AK-47s, dangerous weapons, and swords ... and they move into Christian villages and communities. Just last month, they went into a church, killed two priests, cut kids and 15 members of the church. ... It is a kind of jihad war going on in Nigeria."

Alhaji Gidado Siddiki, chairman in south east geopolitical zone for the Miyetti-Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN), advocated for a

"sincere synergy between the contending tribes, state governments, and security operatives in the region towards containing the awry situation." 3

President Trump has said:

"We’re deeply concerned by religious violence in Nigeria, including the burning of churches, and the killing and persecution of Christians.  It’s a horrible story. ... We’re deeply concerned by religious violence in Nigeria, including the burning of churches, and the killing and persecution of Christians.  It’s a horrible story."
