Sponsored link.
About the excerpt:The following is an excerpt from the ruling by Polk County Judge Robert B.
Hanson on 2007-AUG-30, which at least temporarily legalized same-sex
marriages in Iowa. It includes section 3 of Judge Hanson's decision, pages 21 to
27. It lists harms
that same-sex couples and their children -- including adopted and foster
children -- experience as a result of not being allowed to marry. Although this section was written about the harm and stigmas experienced by
same-sex couples and their families in Iowa, it would apply
with few modifications to couples across the U.S.
