"SEPARATION OF CHURCH AND STATE"

Christians today are under the impression that people are trying to take God
out of the US. How wrong, gravely mistaken, and confused they are. Here is my
summation when it comes to the issue of "Separation Of Church and State".....
When our forefathers' came here and founded the US they brought with them the
Christian faith. Over a period of several centuries we opened our doors to a
multitude of immigrants who also brought with them THEIR faith and culture. As
time went on these people grew and prospered here. The result is that the US has
become very diverse nation of different faiths and cultures.
We now find ourselves in the position of having to take that into
consideration. It is no longer about a nation of just one particular religion
dominating the earth. Many Christians today refuse to accept this fact and soooo....the
propaganda begins. "They are trying to do away with God in the US," they
say. False accusation in its entirety. What people are looking for is a neutral
territory in which people of all faiths can live in peace and harmony.
Separation of Church and State allows us to proceed in that direction.
We can look to the Middle East as an example of what happens when you omit
this important part of our US Constitution. We have all kinds of chaos going on
over there as a result of religious wars. People are killing each other every
day. For what, you ask? Each faction wants to be number one. Am I a devout fan
of Separation of Church and State? You bet I am! Separation of Church and State
is what prevents us from becoming a nation like the Middle East.
