2014-DEC: Givan proposes a "Freedom of Conscience Amendment Bill:

Paul Givan proposed a Northern Ireland Freedom of Conscience Amendment Bill, after controversy and legal action arose over a religious bakery, "Ashers Baking Company", having refused to bake a cake in support of same-sex marriage.

A consultation document launched by Lagan Valley DUP MLA Paul Givan on a Private Members Bill is is introducing to the Northern Ireland Assembly where he is proposing to enhance the Equality Act (Sexual Orientation) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2006.
