2007-OCT-04: Again last month, we had no positive news to
report. It seems that all news related to religion has a conflict component.
Even a mostly positive report of a public school in Illinois whose student
body is about 40% Muslim and that is now celebrating Ramadan, a Muslim holy
month, included a negative side: an effort by some parents to retain only Christian
observances. |

2007-OCT-04: Mexicans are contented; Ugandans less so: Pew
Research samples how satisfied people around the world are with their
lives. Mexicans top the list with 76% saying that their level of life
satisfaction is 7 out of 10 or more. Sweden is next at 72. Canada is third
at 71%. The US is at 65%, lower than Spain (66%) and and Israel (68%). At
7%, Ugandan's have the lowest level of satisfaction. 1 |
