2003-JUN-18: Inter-faith cooperation in Pasadena, CA:
YellowBrix reported that three hundred religious volunteers in
Pasadena turned out to a Mormon cultural hall on MAY-10 to help the people
of Iraq. Some were members of the Church of Jesus
Christ of Latter-day Saints -- the Mormons. But Muslims were also
present as were Evangelical Christians. Together, they packed almost 10,000
packages of personal hygiene kits for Iraq, containing towels, soap, combs,
toothpaste, etc.

2003-JUN-18: Mormon-Evangelical Christian conference:
YellowBrix reported that the Fuller Theological Seminary in
Pasadena CA hosted a joint three-day Mormon-Evangelical conference in
2003-APR called "Thinking Theologically About America." Fuller
President Richard J. Mouw said it was fair to say that "evangelicals have
been Mormonism's most antagonistic critics." The purpose of the
conference was to "tone down the rhetoric and engage in a more civil
dialogue." Fuller continues to bar Mormon students from attending
the seminary, including those interested in the seminary's school of
psychology.
