2004-MAR-21: CA: The Hollywood Spiritual Film
and Entertainment Festival: The festival will be held from MAR-21 to
SEPT-21, 2004. "The festival kicks off with a march for Spiritual
Entertainment in Hollywood on Santa Monica Blvd, La Cienega and Melrose
Street. Spiritually uplifting films, scripts, music and books are the focus.
Although spiritual and religious tolerance of all spiritual traditions
underpins the festival, the focus is upon spiritual and wholesome
entertainment… it is not designed to be a platform for pushing individual
beliefs, causes, etc. Projects will be seen by top celebrity jurors in
addition to agents, producers, and decision makers in the related industry.
Submissions will be accepted for the entire duration of the festival..."

2004-MAR-20: IA: The
Christian Scriptures have been translated into American Sign Language:
A group of 60 individuals at Deaf Missions
have translated the Christian Scriptures
(New Testament) into sign language. It should be available on DVD and
videotape by mid-2004. Their executive director, Duane King,
said: "For most deaf people, English is their second language. How
would you like to have to read a message that is critical to your life
in some language other than English? Probably you wouldn't read the
Bible at all." They have also translated 13 of the 39 books in the
Hebrew Scriptures (Old Testament.)
