1908 explosion in Tunguska, Siberia

Resolution of the long-standing argument between creationists and evolutionists will only ensue if there was undeniable proof of God. The atheist, agnostic, skeptic, philosopher, theocrat, presidents, kings, prime ministers and captains of industry would have to take a stand. Atheists would need to humbly submit themselves or directly and knowingly contend with God. Skeptics could no longer exist with undeniable proof of God. Democracy would become pointless if the truth flies in the face of what the greater majority believe. Can we vote for the truth? Philosophy and philosophers would now be redundant. Who would be held accountable if the present condition of the world is a result of what the most intelligent people are thinking. These are just a few of the questions whose answers are all hypothetical until someone lights the blue touch paper. The Bible itself admits to a mystery that will eventually be finished. (Rev 10:7) A mystery implies an eventual solution, which will only be had through contemplation and understanding. Will this revelation come through an archaeological enterprise? It is seldom contended that the Bible is one of the foremost texts responsible for substantiating archaeological finds. This virtue is extended by means of it's engendering many archaeological excursions to their execution and rewarding accomplishment. Archaeology has returned this favor by proving to be a proponent for the accuracy of the Bible's contents and the credibility of its authors. The very shrewd Indiana Jones wannabe's should spend much time contemplating the Bibles contents before calling their travel agents. Using archaeological metaphor to encourage the pursuit of wisdom the Bible touts itself as the source:

Proverbs 2:4-6

"If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures; Then shalt thou understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God. For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding."

This wisdom, which includes the variety that fuels even the most ambitious archaeologist, can be acquired at very little expense and with much delight from one of the most comfortable and convenient venues on the planet, digging for hidden treasure, from your armchair.

Thanks to technology and the Internet, digging has been automated with Bible study aids that electronically compare translations, cross reference concordances and explain subtleties and anomalies of the Greek or Hebrew languages. With the advent of the World Wide Web there is now access to an immeasurable number of archaeological references and historical texts archived in the public record. Powerful search engines can use Boolean expressions to quickly resolve a proposition or comprehend the previously unknown. An entire archaeological excursion could be hatched and accomplished without having to renew your passport or check your baggage.

An Archaeologist feels most accomplished when he corrects or rewrites history, giving to people a life enhancing truth which, remains firmly anchored in the public record. All of this could be achieved from the comfortable confines of your armchair.

What to explore though?

Rather than examine the trivial and unexciting, why not go digging for the most profound and exhilarating? It was Carl Sagan who once said:

"Somewhere something incredible is waiting to be known."

All the writings of the Bible eventually lead to the arrival of the messiah and God's Kingdom as the solution to our world's problems. This is something millions of Christians around the world pray for daily, "Let your kingdom come". A most significant question now arises. When will this kingdom come? Certainly the Bible itself should provide the answer. In both the contemporary and historical record however, the answer remains either unclear or contended to the extreme. This is a question whose answer must be worth enough value and excitement to justify the expense of launching an expedition. As armchair archaeologists however, we need to be attentive to those clues in the text that result in tangible evidences. This is where the thrill starts. Is there evidence in the text we can see, touch, hear, smell, taste or measure? If the answer is yes, we have the collateral to launch our armchair expedition. Following are three scriptures found in the Bible, which give indications of the events that should immediately precede the arrival of this most important kingdom:

Psalm 110:1-2

"The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool. The LORD shall send the rod of thy strength out of Zion: rule thou in the midst of thine enemies."

Isaiah 66:1

"Thus saith the Lord, the heavens is my throne, and the earth is my footstool."

Revelation 12:10

"And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night."

Immediately prior to the arrival of this kingdom Satan the devil (the accuser of our brethren) and angels, which side with him, are to do battle in heaven and then be cast down to the earth. This is more evident if you sit back in your armchair and read the surrounding scriptures. Will this enormous battle between the most powerful creatures in the universe, which starts in heaven and yet concludes in the immediate vicinity of the earth, be something, which goes by, unnoticed to this planet's inhabitants? It is Jesus Christ himself who provides a hint that can launch our armchair adventure. The hint is dropped at Luke Chapter 10 verse 18:

Lightning!

Many of those higher critics doing Bible research for strictly academic purposes will contend that Jesus is using allegory in this verse. This would become a mundane and disappointing conclusion to accept for an archaeologist eager to pursue his ambition. Archaeological excitement can only be achieved here if we have the courage to rebel against those who cling to their deeply entrenched and untested "truths" handed down through the generations and supported only by tradition and repetition. The circumstantial evidences found so far show great promise of finding something more tangible. Finding lightning from our armchair however, seems to be an overwhelming task, exactly what would we be looking for? This creates a necessary occasion to ponder a little before either abandoning or pursuing more tangible evidences.

If Satan's "casting down to earth" was identical to ordinary lightning then it could not be found. If it was indeed Jesus' intention however, that his words should be used to determine the arrival of his kingdom, then some extraordinary manifestation of lightning should eventually be evident and available for all to find. Clues intended for the purpose of their eventual discovery. Now we have some idea about what we should be looking for which seems plausible
.
This conclusion must then bring us to an inevitable question:

What if the kingdom has already come?

This is where the metaphorical digging process begins. Although the task is not insignificant, it is still not so overwhelming that we abandon it without an effort. In the immediate vicinity of our cosy armchair are some very powerful archeological implements. Internet search engines and Bible discussion forums lead to the very interesting discovery that some small Christian religions have used Bible chronology in a profound way to determine the date of this kingdoms arrival as being the year 1914. If this is true we now have a stake in the ground from which to start looking for the extraordinary manifestation of lightning in the public record. As we know what to look for and when to start looking, our search for lightning is no longer such a formidable task. Previous to the Internet this task may have been considered impossible. Perhaps that is why I can find no previous evidence this has ever been performed.

By employing keyword search criteria that includes a date, we can now use the Internet search engines to step back through time, 1914, 1913, 1912, 1911, 1910, 1909 and finally in 1908 we eventually discover an extraordinarily powerful and unusual manifestation of lightning. Several years before 1914 on June 30th, 1908 in Tunguska, Siberia a very powerful flash of light was responsible for instantly scorching trees over a distance of 50 kilometers initiating an even larger forest fire. This flash of light was also responsible for immediately incinerating entire herds of reindeer. At almost the same time an explosion uprooted and blew down approximately 80 million of these trees in a radius of about 20 miles. Certainly this lightning is well beyond the ordinary and worthy of further examination, especially considering the reasons for expecting its discovery and still yet actually finding it.

Please take some time to yourself now, to consider the implication of this discovery. The Bible gives every indication to expect an extraordinarily powerful manifestation of lightning immediately prior to Jesus becoming king in the heavens! It has now been discovered! Not only has it been discovered, the date of it's discovery is immediately prior to the date forecast by a small Christian world wide religion! After this time Jesus is no longer "sitting at the right hand of God", Psalm 110:1.

Do not let the profundity elude you. There is now physical evidence which supports what is written in the Bible. Not only circumstantial yet also now tangible proofs that God, Jesus Christ and Satan exists. This proof exists in our timeframe, not in an ancient historical record, but in a more contemporary printed newspaper. As you continue to read this article the circumstantial and tangible proofs will build a composite total of evidences which completely overwhelm coincidence and in my opinion drive any thought of skepticism beyond acceptable limits.

So what next!

Back to the armchair and a small stack of Tunguska Event books all ordered over the Internet, authored by scientists or journalists keen to examine this extraordinary event. It's interesting to contemplate how these scientists are trying to resolve the problem of the Tunguska Event and yet while searching from the armchair for something entirely different, the Tunguska Event itself is discovered as the solution. Like finding a chicken then looking for its egg instead of finding an egg then looking for the chicken. This archeologist now has both the chicken and the egg in hand while the scientists and journalists have the egg and are still looking for the chicken. The smiles and chuckles give some sensual pleasure however; the end result of this armchair adventure should hopefully result in a much larger accomplishment than embarrassing a few red-faced scientists. Browsing web sites, cups of coffee, white papers, expedition notes, abstracts, conferences, research papers. Hundreds of scientists and almost the same number of years and not one has proposed a commonly accepted explanation let alone examined it from a biblical or scriptural point of view. Have archaeologists never examined this? The result of all this armchair inquiry however, is the following very profound discovery and realization:

This extraordinarily powerful flash of lightning succeeded the movement towards the earth of a visible body. If the rationales here are to be correct then, it stands to reason the identity of the body should be Satan himself!

The adventure is still unfinished which, is appropriate, as what we have so far may not be enough to convince the skeptics. Time to fluff the pillow again and do some introspection. Jesus must have known while making his statement at Luke 10:18 that a body would precede this lightning. Some textual evidence should also exist with which to identify this body if it was his intention to use his words literally. Jesus certainly would not have intentionally left us hanging in some inconclusive never land. That would deny his renowned benevolent character. This leads to the comforting conclusion that actual eyewitness testimonies gathered from the investigators of this Tunguska Event could be used to measure the physical appearance of Satan.

In the Bible Satan is likened to a serpent, dragon or lion however; if either of these were not allegorical it would already be immediately evident in the eyewitness testimony and make further investigation unnecessary. A straightforward examination of the Bible texts reveals something quite different from the expected goatee, horns, red caped and cloven footed image traditionally accepted and taught through a variety of both secular and spiritual media.

So what does the Bible say?

Please do not take offense however, the only way to convince an already preconditioned audience, would be to have them carefully examine each scripture in order to reach a truly biblical conclusion, untainted by religious tradition or secular media. Get your Bible out and hold on to your armrest, as what follows is an armchair evaluation of scriptures. These can be used to identify and measure the physical appearance of ----- Satan the Devil:

1/ Bible verse ------- Isaiah 14:12

Isaiah 14:12

"How art thou fallen from heaven, O shining one, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the earth, which didst weaken the nations!"

The physical manifestation in this scripture is that Satan should be very shiny and bright, perhaps difficult to look at. It is interesting the manifestation is discovered in a verse, which describes his eventual "casting down to earth". (Compare also Ezekiel 28:17)

2/ Bible verse -----1 Peter 5:8

The physical manifestation here is the noise of roaring which we should expect to be very loud and frightening. It also mentions that he "walks" so we could expect that his movements are self-directed although in this situation he is subject against his will. Many scientists would be expecting objects that approach the earth to be ballistic in nature perhaps not perceiving these may be sentient. It is therefore reasonable to assume their scientific examination should provide evidence of their inability to agree on the ballistic nature of the approaching body.

3/ Bible verse ----- Ezekiel 28:13

Ezekiel 28:13

"Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy taborets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created."

A "pipe" is a very familiar word however, "taboret" is now an uncommon word in the English Language. Therefore the Merriam-Webster dictionary definition of "taboret" follows:

Etymology: French tabouret, literally, small drum, from Middle French, diminutive of tabor, tabour drum

From the description of the materials used to create Satan it seems he should have a body of great beauty. It could also be possible the materials described in this verse may be discovered in greater abundance at the impact site than would normally be expected. This may be the incentive to purchase that ticket and pack those bags.

In conclusion it should be expected that a pipe or cylindrical object, shining very brightly and accompanied by loud roaring yet also not moving in a ballistic way like we would expect a meteorite. This and the extraordinary manifestation of lightning should be enough composite evidence to test the objects expected identity against the scriptures. Very different from the goatee, horns and pitchfork expected.

There are many documented eyewitness testimonies. A newspaper excerpt has been chosen however, with which you could initially test the expectation as it resolves with more credibility. This excerpt was found at the Internet link that is also identified in the immediate following:

Leonid Kulik was selected by the Soviet Academy of Sciences to investigate what happened. He began by gathering eyewitness accounts of the event. Many newspapers recorded the explosion, like the Irkutsk newspaper Sibir:

'in the village of Nizhne-Karelinsk in the northwest high above the horizon, the peasants saw a body shining very brightly -(too bright for the naked eye) with a bluish white light. It moved vertically down-wards for about ten minutes. The body was in the form of a 'pipe' (i.e. cylindrical). The sky was cloudless, except that low down on the horizon in the direction in which this glowing body was observed; a small dark cloud was noticed. It was hot and dry and when the shining body approached the ground it seemed to be pulverized and in its place a huge cloud of black smoke was formed and a loud crash, not like thunder, but as if from the fall of large stones, or from gunfire, was heard. All the buildings shook and at the same time, a forked tongue of flame broke through the cloud. The old women wept, everyone thought that the end of the world was approaching."

Exactly what the Bible indicated !

Many other eyewitness testimonies contain similar observances but describe the shape as a fiery pole, log or sheaf rather than the more technical term "cylinder". It is likely the term pole is more familiar with many of the nomadic people who witnessed the event than a pipe which is an object associated with a more settled population. "Sheaf" is an interesting testimony as it contains both pipes (the wheat or rye) and cylinder (the sheaf).

In regards to the non-ballistic trajectory there is much still being examined and proposed. A leisurely read throuh the internet on the subject should familiarise the audience with this paradox which continues to baffle scientists to this day.

In his book "Cosmos" Carl Sagan mentions that a large number of tiny diamonds were found strewn over the Tunguska Site. The Russian Jewelry trade also recognizes the prevalence of diamonds and directly attributes them to the Tunguska Event.

Extraordinary manifestations of God's glory and of angelic presence were also revealed through eye witness testimony giving an overwhelming amount of composite evidence which supports not only the true nature of the Tunguska Event but also the chronological calculation undertaken to determine the arrival of Jesus Christ's presence in kingdom power. Please carefully read the information in the links provided in this paragraph to fully appreciate the abundance of evidence.To further add controversy to this topic the evidences also indicate which of the worlds many diverse religions may have actual divine support. Now the blue touch paper is definitely lit! A thorough search of the internet has revealed these rationales have never been pursued before.It is not very complex. Similar to an infantile math student discovering that if a=b and b=c then certainly a=c. A very straightforward and yet still beautiful logic. It is amazing to think that the discovery must have eluded some of the most intelligent theological students and academics for over 100 years.

There is some scripture existing which may explain why.

1 Timothy 6:14

In the verses above it implies the "appearing" and it's "shewing" occur at different and yet calculated times. Therefore it doesn't matter how simple the rationale is, the manifestation or "shewing" was not to happen until an appointed time. This implies the appointed time is now! Verse 15 above indicates that Jesus will "appear" yet, in verse 16 it says that "no man can see him". It seems like a contradiction or waste of words. We are admonished just a few verses further however, to watch for "vain babblings". The only way I can see to break the contradiction is contained in the same passage where it says that Jesus is "dwelling in the light which no man can approach". Suggesting that if Jesus were to appear it would be as an extraordinarily powerful manifestation of light. The wary may also have noticed in these verses that some scientific opposition will likely exist. As many scientists make their livelihood out of investigating the "Tunguska Mystery" a resolution would understandably receive much opposition.

Matthew Chapter 24:27 is another scripture that mentions Jesus Christs presence in regard to a manifestation of lightning. In the verses that immediately follow verse 27, the start of the great tribulation is indicated and a cause for much anxiety as the Bible states this will be the worst period in history that men will ever endure (or succumb). If you carefully contemplate the composite quantity of evidences presented here as well as it's improbability it should rule out the possibility of coincidence. If the blue touch paper is now lit and smoldering it raises the expectation of something far more eventful to shortly come. The Apostle Paul later echoed this same sentiment in the New Testament:

What next?

In regards to this most astonishing event, Carl Sagan in his book "Cosmos" noted a fundamental dilemma;

"The key point of the Tunguska Event is that there was a tremendous explosion, a great shock wave, an enormous forest fire, and yet no impact crater at the site".

For this same reason many other Tunguska Event investigators and experts suggest in their hypothesis that the body which approached the earth must have completely disintegrated or evaporated in the great explosion. If this Tunguska Body (Satan) was resilient enough however, to completely survive the tremendous explosion, he may still be somewhere in the vicinity of the earth. If this were true it should then be expected that since the year 1908 and through the rest of the 20th century there would have been many eyewitness reports of a shining, roaring, pipe or cylindrical body "flying" in the vicinity of the earth. These reports should also exist somewhere in the public record.

The next adventure has been completed with absolutely astonishing evidences discovered!

The above rationale does not contradict the scriptures as they do indicate this will in fact be the temporary demise of Satan and the world we live in. If you are not familiar with the Bible it should now be explained that Satan once had a responsible station in heaven where he would be an integral part of the creation's government. This is revealed in an old testament scripture where Satan arrives at his heavenly station and directly contends with God.

Here is the scripture:

Job 1:6-7

6Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan also came among them. 7And the LORD said unto Satan, "From whence comest thou?" Then Satan answered the LORD and said, "From going to and fro on the earth, and from walking up and down upon it."

From the above scripture we can see that Satan could freely leave his heavenly station to move about on the earth. At this point in history he was able to return to his heavenly station whenever he wished or when commanded to a meeting which the above scripture seem to indicate was the nature of his arriving before the Lord.

As explained in the aforementioned blog entry, Satan was cast down to the earth immediatrely prior to Jesus becoming King. Satan has now lost his heavenly station and is no longer allowed to return. Satan was cast down to the earth along with any rebellious angels. The earth we live on has therefore become a prison for those who oppose and contend with God. As we are the offspring of Adam and Eve we are also included in that category. Considering this, it is no wonder that the planet is in such a terrible state. This condition was prophesied in the Bible through the following scripture:

Revelation 12:9-12

9And the great dragon was cast out -- that serpent of old called the Devil and Satan, who deceiveth the whole world. He was cast out onto the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. 10And I heard a loud voice saying in Heaven, "Now have come salvation and strength, and the Kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ; for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, who accused them before our God day and night. 11And they overcame him
by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they loved not their lives unto the death. 12Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them! Woe to the inhabitants of the earth and of the sea! For the devil has come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.".
